Stay in the know.

A couple of new things

We apologize for the lack of updates as of late but we’ve been very busy creating some awesome new iPhone apps for you. We’re still a couple weeks away from launching, but they’re coming and they’re going to knock your socks off. If you’re interested in beta testing for us, send an email to nolan [at] bitfires [dot] com with the subject “BETA TEST”.

Also for all of our fellow iPhone developers, we have something very special for you in the pipeline. If you want a sneak peek, send a email to the same address above with the subject “SNEAK PEEK”.

Veterans Day

Today is Veterans Day and we just wanted to remind all of our customers to do what they can to honor the veterans that have fought for this country.

Both Chris and I proudly served in the US Navy, serving tours of duty around the world and we wanted to take today to honor those who came before us and those still serving their country.

Please, take a minute today to thank a veteran and their family for everything they have sacrifice for our continuing freedom. Believe us when we say a handshake and a thank you makes it all worth it.

Tumble Pro is now available in the App Store for only $1.99. You can now view your Dashboard, change post options, use multiple accounts and more. But don’t worry, Tumble Pro is just as easy to use and simple as the original Tumble.

Announcing Tumble Pro

Over the past month we’ve been working hard on new applications and updates to our existing ones. Today we’re proud to announce Tumble Pro, the best way to publish and view your Tumblr on your iPhone.

With Tumble Pro you can use multiple accounts, add your location to posts, view your dashboard, post to your groups and many more new features. Don’t worry though, Tumble Pro is just as simple and easy to use as the original Tumble.

We will be submitting it to the App Store this week so keep an eye out for it soon.

We’ve sold Call a Cab

Hi everyone.  Recently our application Call a Cab was acquired by CABBUX, LLC and will no longer be sold under the Bitfire Systems name. We will continue to provide support for Call a Cab, in addition to a version of the program released by CABBUX under a different name. So please keep sending your questions this way. Thanks.

Bloggers/Reviewers

It looks like our update to Tumble is taking longer then expected to reach the App Store so if you are a blogger and are reviewing Tumble, send me an email (nolan [at] bitfires [dot] com) and we’ll get you the new version via the Ad-Hoc method.

People love Tumble, but it’s not perfect

Most of the reactions we’ve seen so far for Tumble have been very positive and we’re very happy for that. A few bugs have been brought to our attention and we got right on it to fix them. Tonight we submitted the Tumble 1.1 update to fix all those issues including telling you when you’re logged in, alerting you when you’ve posted successfully and adding an indicator to show the application is working to submit your post to tumblr.

We’ve also added a feature to save your own QuickPosts and quickly use them and changed the icons just to make it a little more pretty. We can admit that we made some mistakes, it was going to happen eventually so we might as well get it out of the way. We are committed to making great software for you and all our customers so please let us know if there is anything we can improve upon in any of our applications.
